Contending For The Faith---Part 56

In St. Jude 1:3, we read, "Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints." [Emphasis mine]. Contending For The Faith is a series of posts dedicated to apologetics (i.e.,  the intellectual defense of the truth of the Traditional Catholic Faith) to be published the first Monday of each month.  This is the next installment.

Sadly, in this time of Great Apostasy, the faith is under attack like never before, and many Traditionalists don't know their faith well enough to defend it. Remember the words of our first pope, "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect..." (1Peter 3:16). There are five (5) categories of attacks that will be dealt with in these posts. Attacks against:
  • The existence and attributes of God
  • The truth of the One True Church established by Christ for the salvation of all
  • The truth of a particular dogma or doctrine of the Church
  • The truth of Catholic moral teaching
  • The truth of the sedevacantist position as the only Catholic solution to what has happened since Vatican II
In addition, controversial topics touching on the Faith will sometimes be featured, so that the problem and possible solutions may be better understood. If anyone had suggestions for topics that would fall into any of these categories, you may post them in the comments. I cannot guarantee a post on each one, but each will be carefully considered.

Proofs of the Resurrection
There are numerous attempts by the enemies of Christ to deny His physical resurrection from the dead.
There are four (4) basic arguments to explain away Christ's resurrection: (1) it was a hallucination of the Apostles; (2) the Apostles created a myth-- they did not mean what they taught to be literal; (3) the Apostles conspired to deceive the world; and (4) Christ didn't really die, he "swooned" and later fully recovered.

In this post, I will refute the so-called "Hallucination Theory." (N.B. The information contained in this post comes from myriad sources, both in print and online. I take no credit other than condensing the material into a terse and readable post---Introibo).

What is the Hallucination Theory?
The Hallucination Theory attempts to account for the testimony to the resurrection of Jesus by claiming both auditory and visual hallucinations on the part of Jesus’ disciples. Proponents of this view claim that Jesus’ disciples really did “see” Jesus, but that these sightings were merely hallucinations in the minds of Christ’s followers, not genuine encounters with a resurrected man. The hallucinations, or sightings, are claimed to have happened repeatedly and are said to have been so vivid as to convince Christ’s followers that Jesus actually had risen from the dead.

The advantage of this proposal is two-fold. First, the proponents of this theory need not engage the impressive evidence for the life-changing transformation of the disciples based on their newfound belief in Christ’s resurrection. Rather, the skeptic can grant that there were “appearances” of some sort without conceding the occurrence of a miracle. The second move is to then explain these “appearances” as subjective hallucinations, events that took place only in the minds of the disciples.

As a result, the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus Christ are dismissible. After all, if you thought you saw a dead man walking and talking, wouldn’t you think it more likely that you were hallucinating than that you were seeing correctly? Why then not think the same thing about Christ’s resurrection?

The Hallucination Theory misses the mark as a suitable alternative to Jesus’ resurrection as it fails to adequately handle matters such as the number of witness accounts, medical truths related to hallucinations, and the lack of explanation of other resurrection facts. This will be examined in the next section, with a closer look at the medical problems of claiming a hallucination accounts for Christ's resurrection.

The Problems with the Hallucination Theory
  • There were too many witnesses. Hallucinations are private, individual, subjective. Christ appeared to Mary Magdalene, to the disciples minus Thomas, to the disciples including Thomas, to the two disciples at Emmaus, to the fisherman on the shore, to James (his “brother” or cousin), and even to five hundred people at once (See 1 Corinthians 15:3-8). Even three different witnesses are enough for a kind of psychological trigonometry; over five hundred is about as public as you can wish. Paul says in this passage (v.6). that most of the five hundred are still alive, inviting any reader to check the truth of the story by questioning the eyewitnesses—he could never have done this and gotten away with it, given the power, resources and numbers of his enemies, if it were not true.
  • The witnesses were qualified. They were simple, honest, moral people who had firsthand knowledge of the facts.
  • The five hundred saw Christ together, at the same time and place. This is even more remarkable than five hundred private “hallucinations” at different times and places of the same Jesus. Five hundred separate Elvis sightings may be dismissed, but if five hundred simple fishermen in Massachusetts saw, touched and talked with him at once, in the same town, that would be a different matter. (See 1 Corinthians 15:6).
  • Hallucinations usually last a few seconds or minutes; rarely hours. This one hung around for forty days (Acts 1:3).
  • Hallucinations usually happen only once, except to the insane. This one returned many times, to ordinary people (Jn 20:19—21:14; Acts 1:3).
  • Hallucinations come from within, from what we already know, at least unconsciously. This one said and did surprising and unexpected things (Acts 1:4, 9)—like a real person and unlike a dream.
  • Not only did the disciples not expect a resurrection, but they also didn’t even believe it at first—neither Peter, nor the women, nor Thomas, nor the eleven. They thought he was a ghost; he had to eat something to prove he was not (Lk 24:36-43).
  • Hallucinations do not eat. The resurrected Christ did, on at least two occasions (Lk 24:42-43; Jn 21:1-14).
  • The disciples touched him (Mt 28:9; Lk 24:39; Jn 20:27).
  • They also spoke with him, and he spoke back. Figments of your imagination do not hold profound, extended conversations with you, unless you have the kind of mental disorder that isolates you. But this “hallucination” conversed with at least eleven people at once, for forty days (Acts 1:3).
  • The apostles could not have believed in the “hallucination” if Jesus’ corpse had still been in the tomb. This is a very simple and telling point; for if it was a hallucination, where was the corpse? They would have checked for it; if it was there, they could not have believed.
  • If the apostles had hallucinated and then spread their hallucinogenic story, the Jews would have stopped it by producing the body—unless the disciples had stolen it, in which case we are left with a conspiracy theory and all its inherent difficulties.
  • A hallucination would explain only the post-resurrection appearances; it would not explain the empty tomb, the rolled-away stone, or the inability to produce the corpse. No theory can explain all these data except a real resurrection.

How Do the Modernists/Skeptics Respond?
When confronted with these objections to a hallucination, Modernists counter by arguing:

1. A resurrection is a miracle, and miracles do not happen (pre-supposing an anti-supernatural worldview). OR

2. The Bible is a myth that contains religious truths, a dead Man didn't literally come back to life.

In either case, they then conclude a hallucination is the best explanation. Is it really?

 ---Introibo

A hallucination is an experience involving one or more of the five senses in the absence of external stimuli that the conscious mind perceives as real. Most proponents of the hallucination hypothesis overlook the fact that hallucinations are symptoms of an underlying illness. Hallucinations generally arise from three disease categories: (1) psychophysiological causes related to an alteration of function or structure in the brain (a brain tumor, for example); (2) psychobiochemical causes due to alteration of chemical neurotransmitters within the brain (for example, delirium tremens in alcohol withdrawal); or (3) psychodynamic causes, namely the intrusion of psychiatric illness into the conscious mind.

However, could Jesus’s disciples have all simultaneously suffered severe medical or psychiatric illness? This contention defies reason and probability. In Jesus’s time people with psychiatric illness were ostracized and considered incompetent or demonized. Could a group of people with uncontrolled psychiatric illness have deployed such a rapid and successful expansion of Christianity in the first century? This hardly seems plausible.

It must not be overlooked that hallucinations are private experiences occurring only in the milieu of the individual’s brain. No two hallucinations are identical from person to person. Two people cannot dream the same dream.  As such, the Hallucination Theory offers no explanation for group encounters with the resurrected Jesus.

Mass Hysteria
Does mass hysteria explain group meetings of the disciples with the resurrected Jesus? In modern medical parlance, mass hysteria is more precisely termed mass sociogenic illness. This condition describes individuals within a group who have similar simultaneous collective psychological experiences, even visionary experiences in rare cases. The group dynamic is characterized by a heightened sense of collective excitement in the context of unique cultural or social expectation. However, Jesus’s disciples don’t fit that profile. They weren’t expecting his resurrection. They were frightened and in hiding (See St. John 20:19).

It is noteworthy that no two persons in a group experiencing mass sociogenic illness have identical visual hallucinations. This is not surprising since hallucinations are private experiences within the individual’s mind. Thus, mass sociogenic illness fails to offer a plausible explanation for group meetings of the disciples with the resurrected Jesus.

Conversion Disorder
In Freudian psychoanalysis, subconscious conflicts are sometimes “converted” into neurological symptoms, hence the term conversion disorder. Conversion disorder symptoms can be profound and can include blindness or paralysis. Symptoms are psychiatric, however, and lack identifiable pathophysiological causation.

Conversion disorder is twice as likely to affect women than men and is often associated with other psychological comorbidities. It results from a psychologically painful experience. For example, a mother who finds her child has drowned may become blind. People with conversion disorder show a peculiar lack of distress about their condition, a demeanor sometimes called la belle indifference. Nevertheless, conversion disorder has a generally positive prognosis. Neurological symptoms most often subside in days to a few weeks.

According to occult psychologist Carl Jung, the St. Paul had subconsciously been a Christian for some time but had repressed his true faith until it broke into his conscious mind, manifesting in a vision of Jesus followed by psychogenic (psychological-in-origin) blindness. Jung believed that Paul’s transient blindness after his Damascus road experience with Jesus (Acts 9:3–9) was a conversion disorder.

Jung’s idea that St. Paul simultaneously experienced visual hallucinations and conversion disorder is antiquated. Visual hallucinations are not part of the current clinical pathognomy of conversion disorder. To propose that St. Paul had hallucinations and conversion disorder would require dual diagnoses.

Additionally, St. Paul doesn’t fit the profile of someone suffering from conversion disorder. He had no misgivings or psychological turmoil about persecuting Christians (Gal. 1:13–14). He was a rising star in the Hebrew religious world of his day (Phil. 3:4–6, Gal. 1:14).  Had Paul merely experienced a conversion disorder, it would be expected that he would resume his usual life activities once the symptoms had subsided.

Even Modernist scholars concede that St. Paul believed Jesus appeared to him bodily. This would be a peculiar lifelong belief had he merely experienced a conversion disorder. St. Paul made a lasting 180-degree change after he met Jesus. He became the most prolific proponent of Christianity to the Gentile world in his time, despite severe persecution and eventual martyrdom. He relentlessly preached of Jesus’s messiahship and resurrection from the dead. St. Paul’s radical, enduring change, prolific doctrinal writing, and Christian advocacy are inconsistent with the proposition that he experienced conversion disorder.

Bereavement
Hallucinatory symptoms during bereavement are common, most often experienced by a widowed spouse. Unlike hallucinations, bereavement experiences are psychologically mediated but are not considered pathological (related to disease). The most common experience is a sense of closeness with the deceased. Auditory and visual experiences can occur but are less common.

The rarest type of bereavement experience is visual apparitions. Visual experiences are reported to range from 4% or less but up to 10.8% in spouses suffering severe grief. Visual apparitions are typically noninteractive. Attempting to interact with an apparition causes it to disappear. Visual bereavement experiences would be doubly atypical among friends and disciples. Grieving the loss of a friend and mentor is dissimilar to the grief a widowed spouse may experience.

A widowed spouse is typically reluctant to disclose such experiences. It is noteworthy that bereavement experiences neither cause the grieving spouse to believe the deceased had resurrected nor inspire them to make any particular life change. Bereavement experiences often diminish in frequency over time but can persist in some cases for months or years. Unlike bereavement experiences, Jesus’s disciples saw him only within the forty days after his resurrection.

Meetings with Jesus included person-to-person visits, group and large crowd meetings, physical contact, eating together, and detailed conversations. Those who met him were convinced that he had resurrected. The disciples’ meetings with Jesus are simply unlike the psychological experiences reported in bereavement literature.

Conclusion
Jesus’s disciples experienced something that made them believe he had resurrected from the dead. The effect on each was profound and lifelong. Proponents of the Hallucination Theory seem unaware of the psychiatric and neurophysiological pathologies that cause hallucinations. The disciples’ belief in Jesus’s resurrection cannot be reasonably explained away as the result of psychiatric illness. Moreover, psychological phenomena offer no plausible explanation for the group meetings between the resurrected Jesus and his disciples. The Hallucination Theory fails to offer any tenable explanation for the disciples’ belief in Jesus’s resurrection.

  1. Dear Introibo
This is off your above subject but I would like to know your answer to several questions. Myself and my wife/children attend the SSPX.

Do you hold to the position of the SSPV that the sedevacantist position is an opinion and nothing more.Do you believe we may or may never get a Pope again?

What do you think will happen when bishop Pivarunas dies or gets incapacitated to the CMRI. This is a frequent question among a number of former CMRI folk at our large church. Many have the gut feeling there will be fragmentation among a number of priests, some breaking off and taking chapels with them. Why has he been superior, bishop and seminary rector for 33 years? Many have said he has absolute control. When his absence happens, the whole group will be vulnerable to a major crisis. It happened in 1984 with Shuckardt , the nuns leaving in 2007 and other priests leaving over the years some giving their clerical life away all together. The former CMRI folk at our church have said they left because of a major lack of accountability of priests ordained by bishop Pivarunas. In the society , if a priest engages in misconduct there are Institutional Tribunals and legal departments to investigate, suspend or unflock them. People complain about Schuckardt but that underlying structural flaw giving absolute unchecked power to a single bishop remains unchanged.

    God bless

    1. I'm just another anonymous who would like to answer the above anonymous below:

Bishops Martin Davila and Pio Espina are likely to provide another bishop for the CMRI if something were to happen to Bp. Pivarunas. Bp. Pivarunas had a heart attack close to 10 years ago and so it's not something that hasn't crossed their minds.

To put things into a broader perspective, the CMRI are in better shape than SGG (St. Gertrude the Great) was a few a years ago because had not Bp. Dolan consecrated Rodrigo da Silva 2021 how would they have gotten Bp. McGuire in 2022 (when Bp. Dolan died) especially when there was at the time a strong contention between Bp. Sanborn and Bp. Dolan? The Lord provided and now they are working together despite their theological disagreements. The CMRI have many priests and in my opinion, many of them (not all) would be good candidates. What accountability are these former CMRI now SSPX talking about?

I know a man who recently tried to get an annulment through the CMRI and he was denied because of a lack of sufficient evidence regarding his case. The very first day he finds out he goes back to the Vatican II religion after being sedevacantist for 20 years. Talk about accountability. The man throws away his faith and good long time friends over his own mistakes in life and blames all sedevacantists for not helping him because they don't give him what he can't have. The funny thing is I've heard people accuse the CMRI of "handing out" annulments like candy when they simply investigate them and determine many like the man above who they denied. Be careful what you hear from people. They lie.

As to your question "do you hold to the position of the SSPV that the sedevacantist position is an opinion and nothing more. Do you believe we may or may never get a Pope again?"

I say if it's just an opinion than why be Catholic? Are not Catholics bound to obey and follow their lawful superiors? It would have to be either or. They either are the popes since Vatican II along with all the bishops and cardinals united to them or they are not. It can't merely be a maybe because your salvation depends on it. If they are and you treat them as a maybe then you have a big problem because it leads to this idea that to follow a true Roman Pontiff and all those united to him is optional while simultaneously calling oneself Catholic. This is impossible. On the other hand, if he is not there must be a very good reason to say he is not and to act accordingly. Good reason would include the following: Is the New Mass pleasing to God and can a pope approve of what it now is? Are all the other sacraments not problematic even though they have been stripped from their essential parts namely the words, matter and form and can a pope change that? Are other religions esteemed by God and are those in them partial members of the true church despite their rejection of it and do they have a right to be there? Is homosexuality acceptable to bless inside the Church? Is the death penalty against a human persons dignity when it once was considered justice. Is Paul VI and John Paul II real saints who alongside Pius X are in heaven interceding for us? It's either or and it's not that hard to figure out.

      1. Is sedevacantism a mere opinion? No. It must be acknowledged as factual even in the absence of a Church declaration.

Will we ever get a pope again? I don't know. It's possible we might never see one again.

      2. As to the CMRI, there may be some splintering. However, I think there will be a bishop to consecrate a successor. Bp. McGuire perhaps/

    3. The papacy will be restored in a few years from now. Vatican II is a repeat of the Babylonian exile and soon (as then) He will restore all, after the allotted 70 years punishment, His Church in all its glory.

Sit tight. The tribulations spoken of at Akita must transpire first, but thereafter all will be restored in such Divine manner that we could not even fathom to conceive His glory. Blessed be God in His angels and in His saints.

These tribulations, marking the end of the 5th and giving birth to the 6th Age of the Church, would have been avoided if the consecration of Russia had been performed by Pius XI or XII.

The Vatican II Sect is the Great Harlot. She will go down to destruction presently.

    4. I might add, to my comment of 18:49 above, that this is from the actual Third Secret of Fatima, which can be found on the website Traditional Catholic Prayers dot com, and which was, singularly, 'addressed' to Roncalli. His remark "this does not concern my papacy" was disingenuous in the extreme. He was a Mason and the council a pantomime.

Roncalli was the pivotal man of the twentieth century: had he, on the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul 1959, have read and heeded the secret (as he was counselled to do) rather than convoking the Council, the world would be a very different place today and the Age of Great Apostasy would have been avoided.

Alas, he was a wicked man and, akin to the stipend of Adam, death has flowed from his choices.

There is a lot of snobbery amongst some readers of this most excellent blog. God knows what is in a man's heart and He cherishes the good intentions of the ignorant and mis-guided Novusordites well above the prideful meanness of heart of those who have been given sight to see the validity of Sedevacantism (/privationism) and imbibed such to the expense of charity. Faith, hope, charity; but above all: charity.

    5. Dear Anonymous at 6:49 PM,

Akita occurred in the context of the Bogus Ordo cult: it happened to a Novus Bogus nun in a Bogus Novus convent and was approved by the anti-Catholic Apostasy masquerading as the Catholic Church. It is phoney at the very least or even diabolical. Its messages are demonstrably false. Catholics should have nothing to do with it. Akita is an unnecessary distraction.

I apologise for my lack of benignity. I find numerous of your remarks pompous and characterised with a hardness of mind that would obscure light.

Please allow me to explain to you the significance of Akita and why it is thus authentic.

The actual Third Secret states that apostate Rome will be destroyed and indicates this will occur in liturgical year 2029, that being the centenary of both creation of the Vatican City State and (which prompted) the formal request from heaven for the Consecration of Russia.

1929 was 12 years after the Fatima apparitions and 2029 will be 112 years post. This is a straight line back to Apoc. 12,1 "A great sign appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun ... and on her head a crown of 12 stars" with is used throughout the propers of Marian feasts. It is a direct reference to the BVM.

    10. 'Akita' is phonetically the same as the Portuguese 'aquita' (the common abbreviation of 'aqui esta') meaning 'here it is'. Our Lady's appearance there was in 1973, that being the half-way point of 56 years after 1917 and 56 before 2029. The chastisement forewarned at Akita, "worse than the deluge", is the 'Judgement of Nations' spoken of throughout the ages as that which will see the Fifth Age of the Church give birth to the Sixth Age, the promised Marian Age of peace. See Bl. Bartholomew amongst others.

This is likely the Three Days of Darkness which, again according to other visionaries throughout the ages, will commence on a Thursday in Spring or Autumn. Thursday is the day our Lord ascended and likely the day of the week He will come again. That is at the end of time, though Thursdays are significant in this context. It is the day we celebrate Corpus Christi, and all tied to the significance of the Last Supper and institution of the Eucharist.

The Temples of Solomon and Herrod were both destroyed on thr 9th day of the 5th month and, notwithstanding the different calendars in force (which is superfluous), the 9th day of the 5th month in 2029 is the Vigil of the Ascension. That is likely the day that St. Peter's will be destroyed - as expressly stated in the real Third Secret of Fatima - at the hands of men, and which will 'kick off' this terrible chastisement, the Judgement of Nations or 3 Days of Darkness, and which will conclude the following Saturday night, and the Sunday, the 13th of May 2029, will be the 112th anniversary of Our Lady's first apparition at Fatima, itself a Sunday. It may be anticipated that on this coming day, all Creation will give voice to the woman described in Apoc. 12, 1 ("clothed in the sun with the moon under her feet and on her head s crown of twelve stars").

To return to Akita specifically, whilst it is true the BVM didn't identify 'Two Hands, Cult of Man' Montini as a false pope but rather indicated she desired 'many prayers for the Holy Father', one must appreciate that with the possible exception of her words at Ecuador (OL Good Success), the BVM has never explicitly indicated a state of extended Sedevacantism.

There are reasons for this: saying such a thing is akin to giving children a box of matches to play with, though moreso because - IN ESSENTIAL PRINCIPAL - the Sedeprivationists are actually correct. Those who we call the false popes of VII sect are, technically, and as Introibo has often conceded, 'pope placeholders'. Even though these men are apostates and have no formal legitimacy or validity, they are, despite being outside the Church, 'material popes' and, if they were to become Catholic, would attain to the fullness of the office. And that is, presumably, why the BVM requested prayers on behalf of the heretic in Rome.

I encourage you to read the actual Third Secret, as found on the website Traditional Catholic Prayers dot com.

Yes, you are correct: poor Leo is indeed guilty of having ample self-regard and a prideful position, not to mention being pompous and possessing a hardness of mind. Thank you for reminding him of these faults, which are minor ones, compared with the numerous others he has. No offence given, and none taken.

Nevertheless, I see no reason to change my position on Akita and sedeprivationism (The Thesis). As for what purports to be the Third Secret of Fatima found on the website you promote and on the [notoriously anti-sedevacantist] "Tradition in Action" site, it may, or may not, be the real deal. 4. @anon6:49pm, 8:16pm, 3:00am, 12:41pm, 12:42pm,

Your comments about Leo are off the mark. Leo has always given very good and insightful comments, with humor thrown in from time to time to lighten the mood, of everything going on in the church and the world. I have learned a good deal from him and I hope that he continues to comment here because his writings have helped many people, me included. I do not see him as being pompous. One could actually say that it is pompous to post a link to a site that claims to have the true 3rd Secret of Fatima, when most of the world has wondered what that true secret has contained since 1917. Yet you claim that this website actually possesses it. Wouldn’t that be the more pompous position?

Joanna said that she will not engage with you, but I will.

The site that you mentioned is indeed interesting. I am very curious as to who is behind it and why it has been posted now. I have written much on the topics that are discussed on that website throughout the years, but one thing that I find most interesting is that the website quotes one of my articles that I wrote for Introibo. I was surprised to see one of my writings on there. I was also surprised to see mention of Fr. DePauw, Introibo, Lee, and an indirect reference to Steve Speray who is disclaiming Marian apparitions. We all are on that website in one form or another which I guess should make us feel flattered to some extent. The others I mention have more of a prominent role on there than me (and they are all the “major players” so to speak. I see myself as a “minor player” in this, and nothing more).

You make the claim that Akita is a legitimate apparition. How do you know this 100%? There is no way you can. There is no magisterium to rule on this now. Even if, ad arguendo, Akita is a valid apparition (which could be the case of other apparitions post-1958), the lack of a magisterium to rule on this makes this a moot point. We have to go by the cut off year of 1958. It doesn’t matter how much Akita resembles Fatima, it could still be false. The demons only need 0.1% error and the whole thing is tainted. If Akita was true, why didn’t Sr. Agnes Sasagawa come out STRONGLY (emphasis added) and condemn the Vatican II sect? Why didn’t “Our Lady” in these messages mention The Great Apostasy? Wouldn’t any mother IMMEDIATELY (emphasis added) have started with this point before mentioning ANYTHING else? I would!!! How could the Mother of God not mention the greatest crisis that was deceiving nearly everyone in the church and the world, and a crisis that had been building up for quite some time??? This makes no sense right there.

  5. CONTINUED…

It doesn’t matter if Bishop Ito in 1984 approved this apparition. After 1958, there is no legitimate authority to rule on this. Even the CDF issued an “unfavorable response” on Akita, and said they would not open a new investigation when they were asked to do so. “Cardinal” (Fr.) Ratzinger flip flopped on Akita, as he did on Fatima in 1984, 2000, and 2010, respectfully. This was one of the leading modernists at Vatican II who squared off against Fr. DePauw and Cardinal Ottaviani, with Cardinal Frings as his mentor. Ratzinger was problematic on SO MANY levels! The Apostolic Nuncio in Tokyo in 1999 said that The Holy See has never given any kind of approval to either the events or messages of Akita. Yes, the CDF and Novus Ordo nuncio of Tokyo could be saying this to cover up the truth of Akita, but the fact that these statements were made, in conjunction with Ratzinger flip-flopping like a fish, does not help the overall cause of Akita.

The website you mention is very strongly in favor of Sedeprivationism (which Bishop Sanborn and some Sedevacantists hold to). This does not include many Sedes and this position has many problems (even if proven true one day – and that is a BIG IF). Prevost is neither a priest nor bishop. To think that he is a material pope placement holder is pretty absurd. As I have stated before with Pope Paul IV in “Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio” (as well as all of my other quotations in my last article I wrote on this blog that quote theologians that say a heretic is barred by divine law from holding the papal office), the papacy is protected from a so called “heretical pope,” an oxymoron. For Mr. Prevost to somehow abjure his errors, wake up Catholic tomorrow, and become pope, is a HUGE stretch. Many Sedevacantists do not support Bishop Sanborn in his thinking here. Why give so much credence to the Novus Ordo “hierarchy,” almost all of whom are just laymen now and invalidly ordained/consecrated, when we have actual Sedevacantist bishops and priests who have supplied jurisdiction that could *potentially* elect a new pope one day from among their ranks?

Your quotations about the 5th and 6th ages of the Catholic Church is one that I have written on several times myself, however, Introibo could be correct that we never have another pope again. This is a complete possibility. The mechanism to elect a pope may be there (under Vatican I), but that doesn’t mean we actually get one again. You mention the 3 Days of Darkness. While this is possible, Introibo has written a pretty damning piece on this topic and other Sedevacantist clergy have also written/spoken against the 3 Days of Darkness in pretty convincing fashion (although it could be possible, in all fairness).

I am very much aware of most of the things that this site claims, as I have studied and researched these matters for several years. I agree that 2029 looks to be a very interesting year, as many things do seem to converge that year. However, what if 2029 ends and we get to 2030 and nothing happens? Do we move the field goal posts further down so to speak and try and predict the next date of a chastisement? Private revelations are very interesting and we should definitely discuss them. That is why Introibo operates this blog, so that an array of different theological topics can be discussed. Nevertheless, we have to stick to public revelation. We have it on divine authority that a heretic cannot be pope, the V2 “popes” have promulgated multiple heresies, and we operate in a sede vacante state, and have done so for many years. Even if this site correctly stated the 3rd Secret of Fatima verbatim and was 100% accurate, what does this change? We are still in a horrible situation and things are only getting worse. Yes, there has been talk about Sr. Lucia mentioning two men wearing white – one could be a real pope, and one could be a false pope (a V2 “pope”). Even if true, we are still vastly outnumbered by the V2 sect, we have to do our best as traditionalists to get to Heaven, and we have to persevere daily to try our best to stay in a state of grace, as the world, the flesh, and the devil continuously beat us down.

Look at it this way, in a few short years, we are going to see what comes to pass and what doesn’t. This will be right or it will be wrong. In the meantime, while we can discuss these things, we need to focus on the most important things, and we have to be charitable. You mention that some Sedevacantists are snobbish and some Novus Ordo’s are not. That is nothing new. I have mentioned it several times here, but the reverse is also true, there are many Sedevacantists who are very saintly (several of my fellow bloggers on this site fit this description – and I wholeheartedly add Leo’s name here to that list), and other Novus Ordo’s (many for that matter) could care less about the Faith and only go through the motions of a false religion, masquerading itself as the One True Faith.

I see other issues with that website that are problematic, but perhaps Introibo can write more about this in a comment or even do an entire future post on this, especially seeing that he (his blog) and Fr. DePauw are mentioned quite a bit on there.

Thank you for the link to the site, but more importantly, remain charitable to the fellow posters on this site. Do you think it matters more to God if you treat someone with kindness or if you deduced the entire 3rd Secret of Fatima? I think you know the answer to that.

    God bless,

    1. To TW, Leo and also Joanna:

That is the actual Third Secret. The events which will unfold in May of 2029 will confirm it. Two-thirds of the population will perish.

Regarding the NOTIONAL validity of Sedeprivationism, let me ask you three (3) questions:

      1) What word beginning with 'h' and ending in 'ypocrites' did our Lord use to describe the Pharisees? remarking to His disciples that they must be very much holier than the aforesaid if they were to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven?

      2) In addressing the above directly, who did He say their father was?

      3) Upon curing the 10 lepers, who did our divine Lord instruct them to go and present themselves to in the Temple?

And by way of 'bonus question', why would He do such a thing? The answer to this is the gist of the matter: God deigned Religion to have formal, recognisable and applicable precept, rubric, form and structure.

The Pharisees and priests of His day were hypocrites who did not enjoy His good pleasure. Nevertheless, He had placed them 'in charge' and they were to be regarded as such.

I myself view the world through the lense of the totality of the Sedevacantist position, like most here, though privationism, in its core principal rather than formality of the Thesis, is correct, and the actual Third Secret supports this.

God bless you and the Virgin protect you (even Leo ;*).

    6. Dear Jonathon,

In reply to your Anonymous post of 10:31 PM, I know where you are headed concerning the three questions (not forgetting the bonus one), and the answers do not support sedeprivationism. Here goes:

      1) Hypocrites.
      2) The Devil.
      3) The Priests.
Bonus: The Pharisees, scribes and priests were the legitimate religious authorities of the day, the Magisterium as it were, whose official teachings, interpreting the Torah, had to be accepted, as enjoined by Our Lord. Note that the officials were not heretics. Their evil actions, commands, laying burdens on people's backs and hypocrisy - which did not bind anyone - provoked Our Lord's condemnation of them. What do we find in the New Covenant? The Church has had notoriously immoral, scandalous and evil Popes and prelates - the examples of Stephen VI, Sergius III, John XII (the latter was said to have toasted the Devil) and Benedict IX come to mind. Yet these monsters, wearing Papal garments, were legitimate Vicars of Christ BECAUSE they were not heretics. In the scheme of things, as far as Catholics are concerned, better a ghastly Pope John XII than an apostate/heretic such as Sideshow Bob (Nope Leo 14). How sedeprivationism can even have a look-in regarding both the Old and New Covenants is a mystery to me. The holding of office in the two of them was/is incompatible with denying God's revealed truths.

      Dominus sit semper tecum,

      Leo

    7. Leo, I congratulate you on your answers. Please forward me your details and I will send you some footy cards.

However, you are looking at the proverbial trees rather than the proverbial woods. It is the structure rather than the specifics therein that afford insight and I recall, if memory serves, of some manner of discourse between yourself and Introibo on the conceptual possibility of Sedeprivationism - I think with regard to Bp. Luciani (sometimes refererred to as 'John Paul I') - where he explained to the rubrics or economy of the SP position and why it is TECHNICALLY possible and therefore possibly valid. I seem to recount that Introibo holds that Fr. DePauw, a cononist, accepted such.

Now, I am not only an idiot but a fool as well, a most ignorant man, and so I doubt I can distill the essence, though suffer me to try.

At the outset: I view the world through the lense of straight Sedevacantist, however the subject letter of the aforementioned essay is - I categorically assure you - the actual and real Third Secret of Fatima and it does indeed connotate, if not outrightly suggest, the essential and underlying principal of Sedeprivationism.

Now, ... Moses is regarded as a pre-shadowing of our Lord. But how can this be? Moses was a sinner. Did our divine Lord, when healing the blind, spit twice on the ground and make two clumps of clay? Did he put His finger in the man's ears repeatedly? No, He did not. The likening of Moses to our Lord is one of broader thrust of theme.

The most Blessed Virgin is pre-figured in Judith. The BVM, from the instant of her conception, was to crush the head of the enemy, foreshadowed by Judith's cutting off the head of the "prince of our enemy". Will the ever-blessed Virgin exploit beauty, guileful cunning and strong drink to effect such an outcome? Perish the thought! She will use the unconquerable force of her Immaculate Conception.

How then can such comparisons be made? Because of the broader thematic, rather than particular specifics, at play. I know this won't impress you, though that is the answer.

      TO BE CONTINUED ..

    8. You mention how the Pharisees erred. This is a point of interest and, in some manner a prefiguring of our own times in that their errors stemmed from the rise of 'rabinic wisdom' and which found its genus in the Babylonian exile. This was a deviation from the Tora, and thus anathema to our Lord - the 'wisdom' of men rather than the Law of God - and arose from the 70 year period in which God suspended Temple worship and, ergo, the proper practice of Religion. Vatican ruddy II can also be seen as such a deviation and, during this 70 year spell, the Almighty has, in not wholly dissimilar manner, also suspended the universal access to Religion; He has taken His Church away for a bit. It is soon to be restored.

The actual Third Secret of Fatima makes reference to "during the reign of John Paul II...", however employs a couple of clever techniques, inter-plays of language, to suggest that he's not really the pope. It is most fascinating and can be read about on the page listed below. From memory, a video of Fr. DePauw is therein linked where he likewise muses the providence responsible for the name of the 'N.O. Mass':

      https://traditionalcatholicprayers.com/2026/06/26/actual-fatima-secret-2/

Are you familiar with the (presumably authentic) death-bed prophecy of St. Francis? If I recall correctly, the great saint said words to the effect that in latter times 'a wicked man will ascend to the papacy, not canonically elected, and thus God will send a destroyer rather than a shepherd'.

In some way, shape or form, the VII squatter 'popes' 'enjoy' some manner of 'material' (only) position. They are not formal, valid or actual popes - they are false popes - though, going back to your discussion with Introibo, were they to make public confession, convert, set out in earnest to dismantle VII and restore the Church and proper Religion, it is quite possible (if not likely) that they would, in so doing, attain to the fullness of the office they had, then, merely usurped the temporal hallmarks of.

Will Mr. Prevost, neither deacon, priest nor bishop, ever do such a thing? It would seem unlikely.

    11. Dear Jonathon (Anonymous at 4:58 AM),

I refer you to contra-thesis.com , which, in my [pompous?] opinion, disposes of sedeprivationism. Needless to say, I am not a facilitator of that website.

Even if the Nope were to convert and abjure the Bogus Novus cult, Catholics would not be obliged to accept him as a legitimate successor of Saint Peter, because they know he was "elected" by agents of The Great Apostasy, who, as non-Catholics, have no more authority to vote for a Pope than the pigs I see flying past my window.

The quote you attribute to Saint Francis of Assisi has, regrettably, taken in many sedevacantists, who are unaware of its provenance. The "prophecy" was penned by enemies of the Papacy, the heretical Franciscan Spirituals, and was used by them to denounce Pope Boniface VIII as the False Prophet of the Apocalypse.

I shall leave it at that.

  7. Dear Introibo,

Thank you for your article and thank you TradWarrior too (I always love reading your articles and commentaries)!

    "CBS NEWS" on March 11, 1998 (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/huge-asteroid-headed-for-earth):

"An asteroid large enough to cause widespread destruction may be heading toward a 2028 collision with the Earth … 'It has enormous destructive potential,' said Steven Maran of the American Astronomical Society … 'It scares me. It really does,' said Jack G. Hills, an asteroid specialist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. … Asteroid 1997 XF11 was discovered Dec. 6 [1997] by the University of Arizona Spacewatch program …"

And when in 2028 will the approach of the kilometer-sized asteroid "1997 XF" be?

It will head towards earth on October 26, 2028 – exactly 70 (!) years after white smoke came from the Sistine Chapel chimney on October 26, 1958, suggesting a Pope had been elected (https://novusordowatch.org/2016/10/smoke-signals-white-smoke-1958)! Two days later Angelo Roncalli presented himself as "John XXIII".

"And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years." (Jeremiah 25:11)

I am not saying anything will happen on this date, but just putting this out as food for thought.

Remember that "there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars" (Luke 21:25), part of the Olivet Discourse where Jesus describes the end times and the coming of the Son of Man.

And then of course, on April 13, 2029 (less than two weeks after Easter), there will be the asteroid "Apophis", which will pass less than 32 000 km from Earth’s surface. It will be the closest known approach of an asteroid this size in recorded history.

We are living in interesting times.

    God bless!

    2. Frank,

Thank you for your comment and compliment. They are most appreciated! It’s funny because a few days ago I was thinking, “I haven’t seen Frank from Germany comment lately,” and then you did!

I have been familiar with Apophis for several years now. That asteroid is going to pass very close to the Earth in 2029. I have also been very familiar with the significance of the 70 years in Scripture, and yes, I have often thought about the 70 year duration from Pius XII’s death in 1958 to 2028. I was not however familiar with the asteroid “1997 XF11.” That is very interesting how it will pass by on October 26, 2028. Thank you for that information! It is indeed the 70th anniversary of the papal election where white smoke came out of the Sistine Chapel and no pope emerged. That date has also been locked in my head for quite some time.

A few other things to consider: 2029 is the 100 year anniversary of the Lateran Treaty. It is also the 100 year anniversary of Our Lady requesting the Consecration of Russia on June 13, 1929. It should be noted that Mario Derksen at NOW mentioned that the 1926 and 1929 apparitions do not have church approval. I personally believe they are legit, but that is a good point that he made. The Kings of France had 100 years to the day to consecrate France to The Sacred Heart of Jesus and they failed and turmoil followed with the French Revolution. June 13, 2029 could be the time limit expiring on the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It is certainly possible. Also, St. Hildegard of Bingen foresaw a comet in the future striking the Earth and causing massive damage and death to many people on Earth. We could also take into consideration that many theologians said that the antichrist would reign for 3.5 years. From 2028 (70 years after Pius XII died) to 2033, would be a 3.5 year reign and it would be 2,000 years after Christ gave His 3 year public ministry. Antichrist will mirror Christ in his public ministry in many ways, only he will be evil and the opposite of Christ in all that he does. There are many other things that I could mention, but I will leave it here for now. The main point is that I think the next 5-10 years will certainly be very interesting on the Earth, but we do not know how everything will exactly play out. As I mentioned to the author of that 3rd Secret of Fatima website, if this time period passes and nothing major happens, then we go on as we are – few traditionalists in number around the globe, no pope to guide us still, and more and more hardships that we have to endure.

We will see in time how everything works out.

      God bless you,

    3. Dear Introibo and TradWarrior,

Thank you both for your kind words and valuable information.

I found out about "1997 XF11" a couple of months ago by stumbling upon this interesting video: "Gary Giuffre: 'Has the Antichrist Already Come?" Part II - Restoring Tradition Podcast Ep. 10", https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9_P2bxzHLM

From about the 42:00 to about the 46:00 minute-mark in this video Giuffre talks about the 3 ½ years and the number 70. Here we also learn about the "huge celestial body that makes periodic elliptical orbits around the Earth and it’s supposed to come its closest to the Earth on that day, on that very day [October 26, 2028, 70 years after October 26, 1958].

Now, just going off course just a little bit could create huge disruptions and might very much uproot the current order of things. Just a thought“, as Giuffre states.

So I checked the Internet what this "huge celestial body" could possibly be and learned about "1997 XF11".

Regarding the topic of "Antichrist" both the two-part video series "Has the Antichrist already come?" by Gary Giuffre and Dominic Caggeso in his two-part presentation on "Vatican II and Antichrist" (Part II can be found here: "Carnivore Catholic EP009: Dominic Caggeso on 'Vatican II and Antichrist'", https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ed2w7oBpoX4) suggest, that his reign has ALREADY ENDED.

Please consider: Who could possibly cause more damage to souls than the false pope "Paul VI" who (seemingly) destroyed the Catholic Church by creating a new church ("Lumen Gentium", November 21, 1964), a new religion ("Dignitatis humanae", December 7, 1965) and new sacraments? On top of that he destroyed the priesthood (no true bishops/priests in the Conciliar Church) and even the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (the continual sacrifice) and erected the Abomination of Desolation. According to biblical prophecy (including in the books of Daniel, Matthew 24, and Revelation), the Antichrist will set up or cause the "Abomination of Desolation". Also, according to 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 he will sit in the temple of God ("Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the Antichrist", La Salette). Could a future Antichrist be more evil/cause more harm to souls than Montini?

"Paul VI" destroyed the faith of 99.9 % of Catholics worldwide. TradWarrior, you confirmed this by mentioning that there are "few traditionalists in number around the globe". As you are very knowledgable, maybe you could watch these four videos and consider the arguments, and then give us your opinion on this subject – that is, on the possibility that Montini truly was the Antichrist, not least in view of the fact that he gave us the Abomination of Desolation.

Again, thank you both and God bless!

    4. Hi Frank,

Thank you for sharing the videos. I have watched portions of them, including the time mark on the one that you requested. There is certainly much that I could add.

Both Gary and Dominic bring up many good points. I agree, and have often said, that Paul VI may have been the worst of the V2 “popes.” He approved of Vatican II. He created 7 new rites for the sacraments. He did so many problematic things, as I mentioned in my last article.

I do find Gary’s points about the 3.5 years between
1966-1969 (with the exact dates that he mentioned) quite interesting and probably a little more on spot that Dominic’s timeline of 1929 to 1971 to 2013, although they both have very interesting points and I get where they both are coming from. As horrendous as Vatican II was and how damaging that Paul VI was (as both men point out), I do not see Montini as the definitive antichrist, nor do I think that Vatican II as a whole was the antichrist, as Dominic suggests. The preponderance of theologians throughout the centuries spoke of an individual who would be the worst and most evil person to ever walk the face of the Earth and this would be antichrist. He would be Jewish and a political type figure (almost like a king) that would try to rule the entire world. Some theologians felt that he would rule from Jerusalem, while others thought that he would rule from Rome. This was always a point of disagreement. According to these theologians, he would rule for 3.5 years. This could be in the near future with the timeline that I mentioned – 2028/2029-2033AD (approximately). Gary and Dominic could be correct on much of what they say too. Their respective work is very interesting. The 70 year correlation between 1958-2028 is reminiscent of the 70 years of the Babylonian Captivity and the 70 years from the time of Christ’s birth to the destruction of the second temple in 70AD.

    5. CONTINUED…

Vatican II caused irreparable damage, but there are many global catastrophes that we could be on the precipice of seeing at any time and they could converge one after the other. They have been looming large for a while now and they could hit at any time. Some examples include the following: a global economic collapse, an asteroid hitting the Earth, an EMP attack, the Islamic threat with attacks on a wide scale, a nuclear war with WWIII, etc. There are many other threats that the world faces. These are just a few. For example, an EMP attack would cause irreversible damage. The electric grid would go out and the power would never again come on. It would send us back to the Dark Ages overnight. World leaders have admitted that this is a very real possibility and in 2004, United States officials estimated that if such an attack occurred in the United States, 90% of the nation’s people would die within a year or so. These numbers were pretty reflective of other nations too. The effects would be devastating! All it would potentially take is one of these issues (or several of them) to occur, and the antichrist could take the scene very quickly. The world is extremely godless today and if some world leader entered the scene who claimed that he had solutions to these monumental catastrophes, it is not unreasonable to conclude that most of mankind would get behind such a figure (and very quickly) as everyone would look for a savior to save them (in the temporal order). Many people could care less about supernatural things because this world is all they know and all they care about. Money and power at the end of the day is many peoples god. They would follow antichrist very quickly if he offered solutions to their problems. People are fickle and it doesn’t take much for them to turn fast! They were saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David” one moment, and a little while later were saying, “Crucify Him, Crucify Him!” Today is no different. Human nature remains the same.

Montini was a disaster. He spoke about the cult of man. He was AN antichrist, but I do not believe that he is THE antichrist. For all the evil that he did, I do not see him as the final antichrist. Plus, he was a very weak figure. I see the antichrist as being a much more powerful man than Montini ever was. I think this person comes a bit down the road still when the world is so desperate for a world leader to save them that this is when Satan sends his agent to deceive mankind. It will be when everyone is “ripe for the pickings” so to speak. The General Judgement follows after the antichrist’s destruction. We are deep into The Great Apostasy, but I feel that there is still more to come. To me, it doesn’t have the feel that Christ returns yet within a few weeks, months, or the next year or two. I could be wrong. This is just my take on all of this. Again, we will see in time.

      God bless you Frank,

      -TradWarrior

    6. Dear TradWarrior,

Thank you so much for taking the time to view the videos and giving us your take on the subject of "Antichrist"!

Another thing to consider: "The 'Babylonian Captivity of the Popes' (also known as the Avignon Papacy) is the historical period from 1309 to 1377 when seven [!] successive French popes resided in Avignon, France, rather than in their traditional seat of Rome."

When asking "Google" the question: "Did the Babylonian Captivity of the popes last 70 years" you get the answer: "Yes, the so-called ‚Babylonian Captivity‘ of the popes (also known as the Avignon Papacy) lasted approximately 68 to 69 years (from 1309 to 1377) and was referred to in round numbers as a 70-year [!] period, following the biblical model of the Jews' 70-year Babylonian captivity."

So the "Babylonian Captivity" of the popes lasted (almost exactly) 70 years with "seven successive French popes" residing in Avignon.

Now we have a "Babylonian Captivity" of the Catholics themselves lasting (probably also) 70 years with "seven (!) successive false popes/antipopes" residing in Rome.

In my opinion, if the "desolation" shall last "seventy years" (Jeremiah 25:11) and the reign of the Antichrist would follow the 70-year-period of the "Babylonian Captivity" of the Catholics (the fallen-away Catholics serve the "Whore of Babylon" [Revelation 17:5] in Rome just as in the Old Testament the "nations" served "the king of Babylon seventy years") it would mean that we would have 70 years of "desolation" and then EVEN MORE "desolation" with the reign of the Antichrist (another 3 ½ years, so at least 73 ½ years of "desolation").

The question is: Does the "Babylonian Captivity" of the Catholics start in the year 1958 or 1959 (when "John XXIII" announced the convocation of the Second Vatican Council on January 25) or does it start with the opening of the Second Vatican Council (1962), or the creation of the false church (1964) or with the conclusion of the Second Vatican Council (1965)? I believe it started in October 1958, when the first of the seven false popes came to power in Rome. (If the "Babylonian Captivity" of the Catholics started in 1962 or later then there is the possibility of a future Antichrist still coming to power as you mentioned.)

Bishop Moises Carmona in 1982: "Since the death of Pius XII, we have had but imposters, which means that for over twenty years the Holy See has been vacant." – That was 44 years ago! In my opinion, we are living at the tail-end of the Great Apostasy (at the end of October 2026 there will be ANOTHER interreligious Assisi-event) and time may be running out for people to embrace the true faith.

So again, thank you very much for your time and your valuable thoughts on this subject.

All the best and God bless you too!

    7. Frank, Leo, TradWarrior and our anonymous commenter,
thank you all for a most interesting discussion!
I agree with Frank and TradWarrior with regards to the reign of the Antichrist. I think the cesure is the death of Pius XII. The imposter "nopes" that followed his death have all unleashed spiritual desolation that mostly affected Catholics and only indiriectly the rest of mankind inasmuch as Catholicism sued to have a positive influence on all mankind. Apart from the spiritual disaster that again is only recognized by a handful of faithful Catholics and people of good will who are still searching for the True Faith, we are still able to live our lives normally on a natural level. When the Antichrist arrives, his rule will be of one of absolute control. Either submit or die. Yet, here we are exchanging our opinions freely on the Internet. I do believe there is still a major world crisis to come, the major one, and God have mercy on us when the day comes.

      God Bless You,
      Joanna

    8. Frank,

At 10:49 above, you make mention of Rev. 17:5. How about Rev. 12:3? Have you (or anyone else reading this) given any consideration to identifying the 7 hideous heads of the hellish hydra of Rev. 12:3? How about:

      1) Roncalli
      2) Montini
      3) Luciani
      4) Wojtyla
      5) Ratzinger
      6) Bergoglio
      7) Prevost

Google (AI) has a very detailed answer to the question: "How does a diadem relate to a papal tiara?" Among many other things, we are told that: "a tiara is a specific type of diadem. All tiaras are diadems, but not all diadems are tiaras." The 7 headed (= hydra) dragon is adorned with what gives off the impression of being tiaras, as diadems. Then, just add in the serpent-headed architecture of the Paul 6.66 Audience Hall, and the devilish V2 symbolism deftly dovetails, doesn't it? Hydra = dragon = serpent = Rev. 12:9. For more info, one can consult the Wiki page "Polycephaly" (subsection "Greek Mythology"). The 7 heads, as indicated in Rev. 17:9, represent 7 hills and 7 monarchs. A tiara is a symbol of monarchy and Rome is built on 7 hills. Furthermore, Frank, you mention "99.9" in your 8:58 comment above, which is 6.66 upside down = diabolically inverted. Comments found in this blog dated May 24 & 25, 2026, elaborate upon the numbers involved, especially as they relate to "Saint" Paul 6.66.

    9. Dear Frank,

Thank you for the detailed response. Your comment about ‘The Babylonian Captivity of the Popes’ (the Avignon Papacy) with the seven successive French popes and its correlation to our present day situation of the 7 false Vatican II “popes” is very interesting! I do agree with you that it could be 70 + 3.5 years to get us to 73.5 years. That is very possible. In terms of your question on when ‘The Babylonian Captivity’ started (with all of the years you mentioned), my pick would be October 1958 when Pius XII died and the first usurper, Roncalli, came to power, so I agree with you there.

This is why I love Introibo’s blog so much because we all learn from each other. I learned a few new things from your posts on this article and for that I thank you!

God bless you for your input,

      -TradWarrior

    10. Dear Joanna,

Thank you for your comment. I agree with what you said. I often think about this fact too, that we are still free to post our opinions online, but for how long, we do not know? What you said about submit or die will most likely be true one day, when the persecution intensifies greatly. We are still free to post on sites like this and that is a huge blessing! I do agree with you fully that a major crisis is coming. It may encompass several of those disasters that I mentioned. There are of course several more. The dangers of AI are very frightening. The distortion between reality and artificial intelligence is getting harder and harder to discern. Many times, you think you are talking on the phone to an actual person, only it is a robot that sounds so convincing. AI bots can output some incredible data after we humans input questions. It is very scary and I do not like it! This is only going to get worse and it is getting really bad fast!

Let’s keep each other in prayer.

      God bless you,

      -TradWarrior

    11. Regarding the present day reprise of the Babylonian captivity, if you go and read the actual Third Secret on the website referenced above, you will see that Sr. Lucia cites the Scriptural passage from Daniel regarding the abomination in the Temple, where the Angel Gabriel expounds on '7 years and 62 years'.

Roncalli was 'elected' on the 28th of October 1958. Seven years later to the day on the 28th of October 1965, Montini 'promulgated' the detestable Nostra ætate. By that, rather than the also detestable Lumen gentium of December 1964, is when the Church was eclipsed.

62 years later brings us to the end of liturgical year 2027. 2028 is this the 70th year, priming things for 2029.

There is a similitude of dynamic to the destruction of Harrod's Temple, insomuch as the Holy Family was absent (in Egypt) for the first 7 years of our Lord's earthly life and 62/3 years later, the Temple was razed.

The real and actual Third portion of the Fatima Secret is to be found on that website. It is forensically confirmed as written by the author of the published 1st & 2nd Secret letter, is written on the same writing paper, contains a direct order given by the BVM to the Vatican and to which they complied. And the list goes on.

Rome will be destroyed in May 2029.

Wait and see, sure; or read about it now.

  10. Fr. Benedict Hughes rightly condemned Steve Speray, the apparition denier, for his blasphemous article on Our Lady of Fatima. He didn’t mention Speray’s name but mentioned the article and The blasphemous AI image Speray used and called it blasphemous. And it is! Speray should be ashamed of himself. This was mentioned by Fr. Hughes at The Fatima conference during the Q&A.

Steve Speray was--and remains--my friend. He is going through a tough time in this Great Apostasy. I wasn't there and don't know exactly what Fr. Hughs said, but I'm sure it was charitable in tone. Steve's blog is not open to the public at this time. He is working through some difficulties, and we should be praying for him--as I do every day.

  11. It is a shame no one can look at facts, just like novus ordites cannot. Apparitions are not part of the deposit of faith. Good luck to all those deceived.

    1. Good luck on explaining how those true popes deceived the whole world in believing those demonic apparitions by granting the faithful indulgences for making pilgrimages to it.

  12. Popes can be deceived. I wonder how the novus ordo fools over a billion and only a few sedes apparently tell us who they think are true popes? I wonder how billions of people were fooled to inject themselves with vaxxes, poisons, murdered baby cells etc.?

    1. You must be new here.

Only a few Sedes tell us ... by quoting from authentic Catholic dogma, Papal documents, infallible councils, writings of Church Fathers and approved theologians and, of course, the Magisterium.

Your citing of the death vaxx, etc. diminishes rather than strengthens your supposition.

    2. Then you don't really believe in true popes if you think they can be deceived. Never mind false popes.

  13. Why does death vaxx diminish anything? You are the one who asked how the whole world can be deceivednand yet cannot explain how the whole world is deceived on many matters. Most don't care about popes but will listen when one says to inject yourself as an act of love. Oh but they don't know it a false pope of course.
And person can be deceived...even the elect!

Nope not new here. Just not impressed with sede land.
